The Cornell Open and Advanced Field Hockey Camp welcomes players and teams of all levels. Campers will be divided into groups according to playing experience, age and level.
Sessions will be devoted to both skills and tactics, as well as team play. The majority of camp sessions will take place on Cornell's own field hockey dedicated Marsha Dodson Field. Completed in 2008, the field was installed with AstroTurf, the preferred surface for NCAA Division I play, a permanent scoreboard was installed, as well as a set of portable bleachers and a portable scorer's table. The stadium provides an intimate setting for fans of the Big Red, as it seats approximately 300 spectators. The stadium also features a state-of-the-art sprinkler and drainage system which will allow the field to be watered for all training and competition.
Evening games will be played under the lights and in Cornell's indoor turf room.
The camp also features specialized goalie training! All sessions are led by Cornell Field Hockey's experienced and knowledgeable staff, as well as current athletes and visiting coaches.
