Cost:  $189.00 per person (lunch not included)

Sponsored by Residential Programs in Campus Life, Cornell University

Workshop description:

Campus diversity efforts often fail to create sustainable campus change. Most Diversity Initiatives often raise awareness and understanding, but many do not result in changes that significantly improve the experiences and success of all students, staff and faculty on campus. As a result there is little progress in solving the critical issues of retention and success of marginalized students. How can Student Affairs professionals create inclusive, socially just campus communities through systemic, long-term culture change?

In this session participants will explore the principles and tools of Multicultural Organizational Development (MCOD) and plan how to apply them on their campus. Best practices and lessons learned will be shared from intentional, strategic organizational change efforts to create inclusive, multicultural campuses that improve the overall success for all students, staff and faculty.
