As an integral part of the Departmental Strategic Plan, Campus Life will continue to develop and promote initiatives that emphasize the importance of diversity and inclusiveness by:
1. Providing the necessary resources (human and monetary) to educate Campus Life professional and student staff and Campus Life faculty concerning issues of pluralism and community for a period to span at least the next five years;
2. Developing and maintaining a Campus Life Diversity Task Force to help facilitate the institutionalization of diversity enhancement efforts within Campus Life;
3. Creating, implementing and assessing a functional area specific diversity enhancement plan for al staff in all seven functional areas of Campus Life;
4. Creating, implementing and assessing a cohesive diversity enhancement plan for undergraduate student staff;
5. Creating, implementing and assessing a specific diversity enhancement plan for all Faculty in Residence and Faculty Fellows;
6. Understanding how the diversity developmental needs, assessment of needs, and response to needs correlate for all Campus Life professional and student staff and faculty;
7. And, developing a standard policy/procedure for the handling of all bias-related activity as part of a comprehensive diversity enhancement plan.
