The Gothics

If your vision of the Ivy League experience includes living in spired stone towers like scholars of old, then the Gothics might be the place for you.  Founders Hall, Lyon Hall (women only), Mennon Hall, and South Baker Hall offer a number of living options – from single rooms to four-person suites – in smaller residential units housing between five and twenty residents.  Professional RA staff oversee programming and community development opportunities, and help ensure that residents get the most out their residential experience.

Five additional Gothics on west campus – Boldt Tower, Boldt Hall/Language House, North Baker Hall, Baker Tower, and McFaddin Hall – have been incorporated into the West Campus House System, and participate in house meal plans and programs.  By 2009 the House System will encompass all the Gothics.

House 5

House 5, which will become the fifth of the West Campus Houses, is a traditional residence hall for 2008-2009, offering students state-of-the-art facilities in the center of the vibrant west campus community.  The house will have its own dining hall (with no obligation to purchase a house meal plan), plus a library, computer room, and common areas for studying and socializing.

14 South Ave.

14 South Ave. is an intimate residence near Noyes Community Recreation Center. Professional programming staff live on-site to ensure that students have an enriching living and learning experience.

The Collegetown Complex

These traditional upper-level residence halls are conveniently located in the most exciting and festive part of Cornell’s campus, close to dining, shopping, and social gatherings.  Cascadilla Hall, Sheldon Court and Edgemoor are some of Cornell’s most historic residence halls, featuring French/collegiate gothic detail, and the choice of both single and double occupancy.
