Cornell's Themed Residence Halls
Want to learn more about art, theatre, or music? Act on your concern about the care and feeding of the planet? Reaffirm or explore an ethnic or cultural identity?
Program Houses are themed residence halls that offer the chance to develop these interests with other like-minded students while experiencing the full breadth of the Cornell residential experience. Please use the links to your right to learn more about the individual communities.
Program Houses are open to first-year, transfer, and upperlevel students. Residents pay a nominal activities fee to help support the many programs that define and distinguish each house. Visit Undergraduate Housing Rates for activities fees.
How to apply:
New incoming students:
When you apply for housing, you may indicate your preference to be placed in any of the Program Houses. You will be asked to complete a section explaining why you are interested in living in that particular community (or communities, if you are applying to more than one Program House).
Current students:
The application period for 2012-2013 membership has ended. However, Program Houses do offer out-of-house memberships for Cornell community members who want to participate as non-residents. Visit the house webpages listed to your right for more information about house communities, programs, and out-of-house memberships.
Questions?
For general queries, please email ProgramHouses@cornell.edu. You may also contact the Residence Hall Director of the house in which you have interest; their contact information can be found by using the Program House links to your right.
